Here more than 1600 students are working in unison with stamina, resistance, skills and foresight towards the cherished ideal of economic development & industrial growth by preparing themselves to face challenges to the utmost. Learning here is a potent amalgamation of capabilities of intellect & the power of soul, which aids students to toil and explore the values of fairness, objectivity, compassion, team working, commitment and super ordination. The aim is to produce sound technocrats and individuals. From a humble start in 1999, the institute stands in all its glory on the manifold thresholds of success.

Location
The institute is located on Durg – Balod, Dallirajhara Road at Shivaji Nagar near Kolihapuri, Dist. Durg (C.G.), 4Kms away from the Collectorate and 6 Kms from the Railway station, Durg. The grandeur of the location provides a unique environment for education in close proximity with nature which is far fetched from the hum-drum of the city. The CSIT campus has enrapturing & capitivating lush surroundings where silence is punctuated with birdsongs & gentle sway of trees. The total atmosphere adds to an aura of serenity & peace.

* Campus floor area 2,00,000 sq.ft.( approx.) for academic activities. 
* 40,000 sq.ft. floor area for laboratories. 
* Central workshop with modern m/c & equipments.
* Canteen with modern amenities in an area of 5,000 sq.ft.
* Guest House with all luxuries in an area of 1500 sq.ft.
* Separate Girls/Boys hostel with 150 students capacity each in an area of 10,000     sq.ft each respectively.
* Staff quarters for Lecturers in a total area of 6,000 sq.ft. alongwith quarters for  HOD`s & Senior lecturers in a total area of 5,000 sq.ft.

Dear Students,
Congratulations on joining the CSIT Durg fraternity. On behalf of the Institute, I welcome you to CSIT Durg, a place where we synergize academics and human values with equal concern for environment too. We not only strive to train the students to become technocrats, thinkers but also help them mould themselves into better human beings with leadership qualities.

To start with, a 4-year B.E programme was offered in three branches, viz., Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and Mechanical Engineering with strength of 60 students in each branch in 1999. Gradually Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and instrumentation, Information technology and Mechatronics Engineering were added in 2002, 2004-05,2008-09 and 2009-10 respectively with an intake of 60 each. Postgraduate teaching started in 2010-11 in Industrial Engineering and management, Telecommunications and Computer Science and Engineering. The Institute is affiliated to Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand technological University, Bhilai.

We hope that you would work with your full potential and bring out the best in you. We are sure that the excellent academic environment and the opportunity to participate in co-curricular activities will also help you in developing your over-all personality. Hope you too will get placements as good as your seniors have achieved.

I believe that your education in CSIT Durg will be a fulfilling experience. There would be of course times when you are home-sick, especially during the initial phase of your stay here. During these times, I will strongly suggest that you should not hesitate in seeking help from your Teacher- Guardians and institute authorities.

I sincerely hope that your academic pursuit in CSIT Durg will be fruitful and enjoyable in every aspect and the experiences you gain here and the moments you spend here will be cherished throughout your life.
